Brian Rumple: Instructor / Webmaster
"I knew that I wanted to do adventure racing the first time that I
saw Eco-Challenge on TV. At the time I didn't have a clue what it took to get started in
the sport. I decided to join "Team In Training" to do fund raising for The Leukemia
Society and to participate in the Hi-Tech Sprint Adventure Race. I was immediately
hooked on the dynamic nature of adventure racing."
Brian has a long history of sports involving two wheels dating back to his
childhood. He was a top BMX racer in the state of North Carolina. After
taking many years off, he rejuvenated his love for riding bikes when he bought
his first mountain bike. He directed his passion and his competitive spirit
towards mountain bike racing. After a couple of years racing mountain bikes
he turned his focus to adventure racing. Brian has participated in the most
difficult adventure races in the southeast, including a 9th overall finish
in the Beast of the East.
